What could go wrong  in our decision making

Last week I talked about the Negativity Bias and how it can trip us up internally as individuals. We sometimes see what we lack instead of what’s possible.

The Negativity Bias is a cognitive bias where we give more weight to negative information than positive, or upside. Our brains are wired to see what could go wrong  in our decision making, both with internal thoughts and external information.

I invite you to

  • Look for reliable information that supports the great things that could happen.
  • Research what other people who faced your decision did to succeed.
  • Balance all possibilities and think about what gets you more of what you want as you innovate your life through your next decision

    Happy Thoughtful Thursday!
