Rainbow Over the Valley

I eat a live frog every day

Last week I shared with you how I eat a live frog every day. Frogs are those icky things we all have to get done.

It might sound counterintuitive but my secret to eating frogs is taking a break.

Today I went paddle boarding for a total break from everything – work, home, obligations. When you take a break it gives your mind a rest and increases your capacity to make decisions and solve problems. During our Decision Classroom meetings, work/life balance comes up as a common challenge that can feel like a giant frog.

When you feel like you don’t have enough time or it’s hard to “eat frogs,”

consider:

  • Where can I create boundaries in my day to create down time?
  • What activities do I enjoy that recharge my energy and help me feel more grounded?
  • Where will I schedule my break time?

Hit reply and let me know how it’s going with your frogs. What’s working for you?

    Warm regards,

    Amy Day
