Connect with what matters to you
I’m writing to remind you to take a pause from your Thanksgiving preparations or busy life and connect with what matters to you.
How often do we actually take a moment to say the positive things we’ve been thinking or feeling about those we are closest to?
Consider the things you’ve been grateful for in others and how you could take a moment during your Thanksgiving feast or community meal to hug people with your words.
I invite you to share your gratitude with somebody around the table. It could be:
- something you appreciate about them.
- a contribution they’ve made to you.
- reflecting back a strength that you see in that person.
When we express our gratitude, we show the other person that we see them and they matter.
