Busting Out of Limiting Beliefs – Thoughtful Thursday Jan. 30
“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” – e. e. cummings.
To bust out of limiting beliefs, encourage people to talk to others for ideas when they are fearful, uncertain, confused, stuck, or even over-confident in their choices. It’s often through conversation and contemplating that we express our values, generate ideas, and see something previously unseen that leads to a higher quality decision in the end
When supporting someone facing a problem or opportunity ask:
- Why does this matter to you…? This is a values question.
- What else could you do …? This is an expansion question.
- What could someone with no limitations do? This is a thinking outside-the-box question.
